What is Her Set Her Sound?
Her Set Her Sound is a creative-entertainment business founded to fracture cultural and systemic oppression and gender inequities in music and creative industries. We use various music genres and art forms to concentrate on womanism and foster a sense of mutuality and interconnection. We understand womanism to be a theory that recognizes that we are all connected to this world regardless of sexuality, gender, race, culture or physical ability. Our mission is to shape a safer, more compassionate and ethical environment for under-advocated creatives and music and art lovers of all kinds. We are challenging outdated industry standards to shape the tomorrows of evolving generations and it is liberating!
We are taking up space to revel in the many forms that she creates. We appreciate the many ways that femininity expresses itself too. Her Set Her Sound will encourage the silenced, rejected and dismissed, bringing together artists, creatives, and music lovers of all walks to be fierce and find joy.
