Our Story
Her Set Her Sound (HSHS) began from an Arkansas Soul article written by founder & promoter, Rob Jordan, who discovered the top non-white gender-diverse DJs in Northwest Arkansas were missing support, advocacy, and intentionally-crafted spaces to be heard and show off their skills in and to our community. Seeing the need to produce a platform that amplifies and advances her on and off the stage, Jordan crafted the first and only fest in NWA designed to celebrate and center rising, cultural women and non-binary DJs in the region in 2021.
One of our priorities is to bridge connections for trailblazers and innovators, especially creative women and non-binary talent who identify as Black, Brown, and queer , in music, culture, and entertainment. We especially strive to nurture stages and spaces that embrace race, gender, class, and identity. The goal is to see our people thrive, worry-free, around those who love our culture and honor our bodies. We encourage our audience, clients, and partners to set the trends, the standards and to own their sound.
If you'd like to book musical talent for your next event, support in event production or programming, or promotions, fill out this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
